Case Study #1007  - Use of a diary to record EFT tapping sessions, SUDS and aspects

Chris – (not his real name), was referred to me because of random blackouts he experienced

Chris had been experiencing several blackouts during his life, starting from the age of 13 when he was knocked unconscious during a rugby game.  Ultimately he was involved in a car accident, which resulted from a blackout episode.

We started out session with the usual tapping on the ‘blackout’ issue.  After several round of tapping we didn’t seem to be making any headway so I decided to take another approach.  I asked Chris to make up a list of all the events he could recall in his life where he had suffered other head injuries.  At this stage we had discussed the role of aspects and/or associated and linked memories.

Chris produced a very long list of events detailing horrific physical abuse, daily beatings by his father, fist fights with peers, and beatings by gang members.  Many of these beatings resulted in further head injuries and losing consciousness.

Chris was extremely dedicated in his daily tapping sessions and kept detailed records of what he tapped on, the initial SUDS and the resulting SUDS and also any aspects that arose.  These were quickly added onto the list for further tapping session.

We used Chris’ diary as our indicator of how he was cleaning up his life from childhood to the present.  It produced an excellent graph of how much Chris had to tap on initially and now thorough he was in tracking all the events related to his abusive childhood and adolescence.

Looking back Chris can see how there is less and less to tap on daily.   After our 4 sessions were completed Chris could feel deep down inside of himself that he had finally put to rest part of his life that had caused him so much anxiety, grief and guilt.

The blackouts have not occurred and only time will tell what has happened to them.  However I have referred Chris to an excellent osteopath who specialized in sacral-cranial manipulation.
