Case Study #1004 - Clinical Depression
Sheila was one of my first clients on whom I
tested my newly acquired EFT techniques. She
was willing to try anything to get over her problems no matter how weird the
therapy was. At this stage I was
mixing and matching NLP techniques alongside with the EFT tapping techniques.
Sheila was diagnosed as clinically
depressed and had been on medication on and off for the past 3 years before I
saw her. She displayed most of the
symptoms of depression. I used a
number of NLP techniques during our sessions and also taught her EFT so she
could use that for her anxiety and also to clear up negative emotions, which
were plentiful.
We made an extensive list of all
traumas, negative patterns and emotions so Sheila could work through them
systematically. The NLP techniques
that I used with Sheila included re-imprinting, VAK disassociation, parts
integrations, future pacing, goal setting etc.
All these techniques were used along side with the EFT tapping.
Slowly but surely Sheila started to come out of the depression and to
reduce her medications until she was off them completely.
We did a dozen sessions together and Sheila did much more with the
tapping exercises set up for her weekly.
I
saw Sheila 24 months after our sessions. She
has had her ups and downs but now I see a happy, motivated, peaceful and
contributing member of society. The
changes are dramatic. The person
who earlier had such low self-esteem and worth, is
now this dynamic, bright , interesting human
being ready to take on life’s challenges.
